Providence Health Care’s 2022 Accreditation Canada Onsite Survey

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Accreditation Canada, a not-for-profit, independent organization that provides national and international health care organizations with an external peer review process to assess and improve the quality of care, will visit PHC sites during the week of Oct 30 to November 4, 2022.

Seven Accreditation Canada surveyors will visit PHC’s acute and residential sites, ambulatory clinics, administrative sites, and select community dialysis clinics to conduct the 2022 Accreditation onsite survey.

Being accredited by Accreditation Canada  means demonstrating a commitment to providing safe and quality care to our patients, residents, families and community.

Our status as an accredited organization is also vital for PHC to continue being an academic health science centre and research facility and to retain the funding that ensures our continued operations as a critical health care provider in BC.

In the next few weeks, more information will be available to physicians on how to best prepare for the visit, but in the interim, additional information may be accessed at: https://connect.phcnet.ca/quality-safety-value/accreditation
