Trauma-Informed Practice is a strengths-based framework grounded in an understanding of, and responsiveness to the impact of trauma. It emphasizes physical, psychological, and emotional safety for everyone, and creates opportunities for survivors to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment. safeCARE training will coach you on how you can use a trauma-informed approach to support patients, your teams and utilize a trauma-informed approach in your personal life.
Facilitated by Dr. Scott Harrison, this education is essential in our journey towards Reconciliation. There is a lot of demand for safeCARE training, which we developed at PHC, and is now a provincial training program.
