WELCOME FROM OUR PILLAR TEAM!
Our physician leaders and advisors are representing medical staff in key areas of our strategic plan.
Dr. Grace Li
I’m a physiatrist, and finished my residency at UBC in 2014. I work in various hospitals, including Holy Family Hospital (stroke and orthopedic rehab hospital), GF Strong (EMG), and Sunnyhill (pediatric rehab).
Within my clinical role, I enjoy helping patients and their families to navigate and troubleshoot their recovery. I see patient of a range of ages, and interface regularly with different disciplines and allied health professionals, which helps me to keep a broader perspective of neurologic/ MSK recovery.
I look forward to helping to increase awareness of physician engagement within our organization, and helping to broaden the scope of this work with outside organizations.
Ms. Deborah Mitchell

Deborah Mitchell was appointed Vice President, Seniors Care, Organizational Strategy & Partnerships on June 2018.
Her position as Vice President reflects the growing need for advancing and supporting PHC’s elder care vision, especially for redeveloping its residential care homes, advancing projects in the areas of strategic partnerships for seniors care, and being accountable for the strategic planning function at PHC. Deborah has over 25 years of progressive leadership experience with a variety of health care organizations in the public and private sectors.
Dr. Adrian Huang
Orthopaedic Upper Limb & Trauma Surgeon, University of British Columbia & St. Paul’s Hospital
I’m passionate about managing my patient’s musculoskeletal problems and working together with them to optimize their outcome through surgical and non-surgical options. I enjoy teaching trainees and hope to inspire them into a career in orthopaedic surgery.
I’m excited about working with current and new partners to create innovative ways to improve patient care. We have a wonderful opportunity to work with strategic partners to modernize healthcare, advance medical research, and improve the outcomes of our patients.
Dr. Lik Hang Lee
As a pathologist, I enjoy problem solving and working collaboratively with others. I enjoy teaching trainees and contributing to the knowledge base in pathology and medicine through research. Even though I’m not at the front line seeing the patients, I enjoy knowing that I make important contributions to their care.
In my role as a physician advisor, I am eager to provide input into the organizational direction of our medical community through my own experiences, and importantly through the voice of our broader medical staff community.
Dr. Pierre-Paul Lizotte
As physicians, we are honoured to participate in the most intimate and sometimes most meaningful times of our patients lives. This drives me to be the best I can in helping them through their journeys in primary care through advocacy, compassion and knowledge. When I’m not doing that, I’m either traveling or knitting or both..
In this role as physician advisor, I hope to continue to emphasize the importance of the patient voice and journey through our health care systems to try to be the best we can.
