Indigenous Elder Roberta Price and Dr. Michael Dumont, Medical Director, Family Physician, Lu’ma Medical Centre, Vancouver will reflect on the Inquiry into Indigenous-specific racism and discrimination in B.C. healthcare.

Objectives:

  • Understand the scope of the racism that exists in our healthcare system
  • Have a basic practical framework for how to employ culturally safe and anti-racist approaches to care for Indigenous patients
  • Understand the value of partnering with Indigenous Elders in health care settings
