  • This event has passed.

Stressed about an unexpected patient care outcome? Frustrated with “the system” and feeling that it was on your shoulders to speak to the family about it? Didn’t know how to approach family or colleagues about it?

Come learn together with your interdisciplinary colleagues about “Communicating Unexpected Outcomes” sponsored jointly by the People and Exceptional Quality, Safety and Value Pillars. This is an interactive Saegis (CMPA affiliate) course facilitated by our very own Dr. Janet Kow and Camille Ciarniello.

  • Dinner provided (vouchers)!
  • Learn from the comfort of your own home (Zoom)!
  • CME credits for physicians!

Each course is 2, 2-hour sessions one week apart, from 5-7pm and is open to 20 participants.

Sign up here on Learning Hub: https://learninghub.phsa.ca/…/communicating-unexpected… for either session, February 7 and 14 or March 8 and 15, 2022 (must attend BOTH days).

Important: Currently LearningHub does not allow for registration in a two-part course.  In order to circumvent this glitch, please register for Part 1 of the Communicating Unexpected Outcomes in Healthcare course.  We will assume you are registering for both Parts 1 and 2, and will communicate with attendees prior to the next session to ensure they have the required information.

Please connect with Camille Ciarniello cciarniello@providencehealth.bc.ca if you are only able to attend Part 1 at this time.
