Safety and Sorrow: Today, Tomorrow

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Oct. 25-29 is Canadian Patient Safety Week!

The Exceptional Quality, Safety, Value Pillar PAC is pleased to invite you to join Dr. Garth Hunte in a conversation about how we create safety for patients in our complex systems of care. Explore how we make sense of safety, how we cope with complexity, and how we care for our patients and ourselves when action goes wrong.

Dr. Garth Hunte is a Clinical Professor and Emergency Medicine physician at Providence Health Care.  After completing his Family and Emergency Medicine residency training he went on to complete a Masters in Human Kinetics and PhD in Health Care and Epidemiology with a focus on patient safety.  He is a highly productive and extensively published clinician-scientist and global thought leader in the application of resilience engineering in healthcare.
